Working from ear impressions made by an audiologist, our technicians mold transparent, soft gel silicone around miniature speakers to give the 2X-S its final form, finishing them by hand for a perfect fit. With its superb fit and seal, the 2X-S provides up to 37 dB of broadband isolation from ambient sound, enabling the artist can hear the monitor mix more clearly at lower volume levels, promoting better performances, improved hearing health, and ultimately, a longer career. Cable system details: Designed to withstand the rigors of every-night use on the road, the 2X-S comes with our field-replaceable coaxial cable as standard. This system offers secure connection to the earpieces that will not pull out accidentally, and offers 360-degree rotation. (Note: Coaxial cable became standard in March, 2012. Prior to that, Sensaphonics field-replaceable cables employed a 4-pin connection secured by a nylon screw. In addition, our classic low-profile, permanently attached cable is also available. Our cables feature memory-wire inserts to ensure a snug fit around the ear.
