Sensaphonics response to COVID-19

As you know, these are challenging times with the COVID-19 situation, in Chicago and around the world. Sensaphonics assures you that we are responding to the recommendations set forth by the CDC, WHO, and our professional organization, the American Academy of Audiology.

We are answering phones and emails like normal. Our physical clinic facility is open for those who have urgent and critical needs. Our lab is also open and completing orders. We have implemented protocols to ensure the health and safety of our patients, clients, staff and community at large.

We ARE Available – Communication, including hearing, is important during emergencies. Especially for our hearing aid patients, rest assured that we are reachable and here to help you. We offer virtual visits, telehealth, and safe drop off/pick up for device repairs. Contact us to discuss the safest course of action for your needs.

Infection Control – For those needing in-person visits, we have implemented a stringent infection control policy according to the CDC guidelines. This includes disinfecting all surfaces and equipment, minimizing contact by wearing gloves, frequent and effective hand washing, and more.

Phone Screening for Clinic Visits – Our Musicians Hearing Clinic remains open. As recommended by the American Academy of Audiology, we will conduct a phone screening prior to your visit to determine if it is safe for you and others to come. If not, we will find an alternative way to help you.

Our Staff –
If any of our staff members exhibit any signs of sickness, they have been instructed not to come to work. Sensaphonics is instituting a non-punitive leave policy for this situation.

We are following the evolving guidance from WHO, CDC, and Chicago authorities and will adjust our procedures accordingly. We here at Sensaphonics are taking this situation seriously, but are confident that things will return to normal in due course.

Stay safe and keep respecting your ears,

 -The Sensaphonics Team
