Sensaphonics launches "Ask The Sound Guy" services
Industry veteran Thom Fiegle joins staff as Sound Engineering Consultant.

Sensaphonics has announced the hiring of industry veteran Thom Fiegle as Sound Engineering Consultant. Fiegle's primary responsibility will be to offer expert advice to artists and engineers seeking to optimize their in-ear experience. The new service, dubbed "Ask The Sound Guy," is designed to augment Sensaphonics' industry-leading audiology expertise with Fiegle's long experience in system design and live sound mixing.

"We are excited to add Thom Fiegle to our staff," said Michael Santucci, Sensaphonics founder and president. "His years of hands-on experience in both live mixing and product development will be a huge help to our customers. While we only manufacture custom earphones, we're also authorized dealers for Sennheiser, Shure, Aviom, and other products needed to build a great in-ear system. As more artists adopt personal monitors, Sensaphonics will be there to help them. Whether it's by phone, by email, or backstage consultation, all they have to do is Ask The Sound Guy!"

A 1992 graduate of Elmhurst College with a B.S. in music business, Fiegle's career in pro audio has included extensive hands-on experience in mixing and systems design in the Chicago area. For the past 12 years, he worked with Shure Inc., where his duties included technical support, product management and technology management, focusing primarily on personal monitor systems. He is also partner and chief technician for Reelsounds Studios of Skokie, IL. He continues to mix regularly in local nightclubs.

Fiegle's responsibilities will include consultation on in-ear system design, set-up and troubleshooting, including product recommendations, frequency compatibility, mic selection, gain structure optimization, and equipment rack design and construction. He will also attend trade shows, offer seminars, and contribute to the Sensaphonics product development team.

"I'm really excited to be working with Sensaphonics," says Thom. "This is a great opportunity to use all my experience and knowledge to help artists and engineers put together optimum in-ear systems and get the most out of them. This is a hands-on business, so I encourage anyone to call or email me. Let's get the conversation started!"
