3D Mixer Indicator Lights

There are five indicator lights on the top panel of the 3D bodypack mixer, designed to provide at-a-glance system operation status.

  • Power/Battery Status - Located beside the power switch, these two LEDs show when the mixer is turned on and the approximate battery condition. With a fresh battery, only the green LED will be lit. (Note: The second power/battery LED may be either yellow or red.) With continued use, the yellow LED below it will begin to light, getting slowly brighter as the battery life is reduced. After about 6 hours of use, the green LED will go out, leaving only the yellow (or red). At this point, battery replacement is indicated. The system may still be used, but with a gradual reduction of headroom.
  • PEAK - Normally off, this single LED flashes red to indicate that you are near the peak clipping output of the body-pack. If this LED lights repeatedly, it means either the monitor input or the ambient level is too loud. Turn down the volume control of your IEM body-pack until the light goes out. If this does not solve the problem, open the pack and turn down the rotary Ambient Background control.
  • LOUD - The Monitor and Ambient LEDs indicate the presence of loud sounds coming from these respective inputs. When either light is bright yellow, the sound from that source is very loud and the limiter for that function (if engaged) may become active.
